During the second half of the Sunday celebrations (approximately 11:30 to 12:30),we provide sessions for children and young people who are attending the Sunday Morning Celebration with their parent(s) or carers and who are 2 years or over. Depending on the morning there will either be a number of smaller groups taking place which are divided according to age, or a big joint session. Details of what is taking place on each session can be found on the PowerZone stall in the foyer. For babies and infants too young to go into the PowerZone sessions we also have a crèche facility.
Ambassadors– Young People at Secondary School
Transformers– Junior School Aged children.
Precious Gems– Infant School Aged children.
Little Stars– Preschool age (2 years+)
This group is open to all those aged 2 and above. We recognise that settling somewhere new can be difficult for those so little so welcome parents or carers to stay if needed to help them get used to the group and the environment.
We have a room set up with toys for babies and toddlers. At present this is only staffed by one volunteer and so we kindly ask that you are prepared to stay with your baby or child. A drink and biscuit are provided for those old enough to enjoy this treat and we look to encourage a warm welcoming environment for parents, carers and children alike. Breastfeeding is welcomed and if facilities are required for heating bottles etc. this can also be organised.
We ask all parents/carers to complete a registration form with some basic contact information on it. This is for our information only and is covered by the SCF Data Protection Policy. There is a PowerZone welcome desk in the foyer every Sunday morning where new children/ young people can register and those who have been before can find out more information about the morning and any changes to the normal program.
